I don't even know where to begin since I took an unplanned blog break - but here we are in a new year and there's a lot on my mind. While I'm trying not to dwell too much on the past or wonder "what if?", I can't help but look back on my 2013 and how much life has changed.
A lot has happened in the last several months for me: a full-time job (finally!), buying a car, moving to a new town and living on my own - supporting myself 100%. I'm not crazy about change (even a Facebook update ruffles my feathers) so I was pretty scared about where my life was going and suddenly felt unprepared. How would I make it work? Afford the basic necessities I need to survive? Should I just move home?
Looking back (though it wasn't that long ago), I know I made the right choices. I was patient and got the full-time job I had hoped for and was then able to buy a car knowing other things would fall into place. Thanks to the advice of family and friends, I'm beginning a new year in a place I never thought I'd be. Change isn't exactly my idea of fun, but making it through as a stronger person is all that matters.
