Saturdate

February 25, 2012

Matt and I spent a couple hours shopping for picture frames and food processors after we went out for lunch. It was chilly and so windy but the sun made it feel better. :) Hello outside pictures!! I chose a sweater for casual Saturday wear and paired it with colors. What do you think?

Neon & Fur

February 24, 2012

Had some errands to run this morning, so I threw on my trusty fur vest. I've worn it different ways in the past, so I'm trying to find other ways. Here, I just paired it with a simple striped sweater. And a POC with my new favorite purse. :)

Winter Remix Challenge

February 13, 2012

I had oodles of fun with this challenge by Jessica Quirk (from What I Wore).
The mission: pick one piece from my wardrobe -- and style it two different ways. I figured I couldn't go wrong with color. Winter needs more of it!
How'd I do? I love the idea of chambray and green cords.. then POW (pop of wow, just came up with that)...leopard heels! For the second outfit, I was thinking Friday work appropriate yet still fun. That blazer = amazing and so worth the price. Details on my outfits are below!

Outfit 1:
Chambray shirt: Old Navy
Green Cords: LOFT
Leopard heels: Victoria's Secret

Sunday Funday

February 12, 2012

OPI 'Black Onyx' & Sally Hansen 'Snow Blast' Crackle

My Sunday consisted of an at-home mani, relaxing, leftovers, the Grammys and a little (easy) sweet treat: frozen chocolate & peanut butter covered banana pieces. YUM. (get the recipe here)

Seeing Stripes

February 9, 2012

Thursday = stripes (at least this week anyway)

This blazer is only part of 2 outfits I am styling for a contest by Jessica Quirk from What I Wore. I am very excited to do it and hope it's only the beginning of fashion blogging for me! Check back soon for my full outfits! :)

It's Jason Wu day!

February 5, 2012

Up at 7am - out the door by 7:30am and to Target by 7:45am. All to snag Jason Wu's line!!! Overall, I had a positive experience. There weren't many people lined up waiting and it was much more calm than when Missoni came to Target.

Pretty much anything I saw in my size I grabbed to at least try on. I ended up with the 3 great pieces above -- but I tried on at least 10 items (6 at a time limit in the fitting room...) I LOVE the pleated navy skirt and can pair so many tops/shoes with it. And please - that polka dot top! I have been eyeing polka dot tops, saw this one and loved it. Plus, the red shirt has some lace detail and cute buttons. Drool!

The 3 pieces = $92 but thanks to Christmas money, I only paid $41! Cannot beat that! I am so excited (as Matt just looks at me weird :)

Did you bag any Jason Wu -- in store or online?? Leave a comment - I'd love to hear!

I'm Wu'd

February 4, 2012

I'm having flashbacks to Missoni's line hitting Target. I was there around 11am: the lines, women with shopping carts FULL of Missoni items, talking on the phone to get their friends goodies. It was crazy! While most of the line was scooped up, I ended up buying a shirt and kids rain boots which wasn't too bad. But not this time!!

Now, I am Wu'd. Tomorrow Jason Wu's line bursts into Targets (and online) and I am bursting at the seams! I've seen the commercial, pictures, stalked everything online and picked my favorites.

A couple points that sucked me in more:
- Nothing over $60
- Dresses, scarves, purses
- Color
- Clean lines

I am loving the dresses (especially the one above) and wish I could get them all. I'll be the crazy shopper up early and at Target at 8am for the most selection. I have Christmas money to spend!

Come back soon to see what I 'bag'! :)

Will you be buying any of the Jason Wu collection?
