Going Green

March 17, 2012

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Ask my parents and they'll tell you different percentages of my Irishness. It's really cute. Maybe one day I'll know, but for now I must celebrate my 75% 25% Irish-ness somehow - so why not start with my outfit?

This shirt has been hanging since I bought it several weeks ago. What a shame!! Today felt like the perfect time to bring it out. I love the rugby stripes and the detailing at the sleeves. It's so light, too. Even better? I've seen a similar long sleeve version that would leave you broke and wishing to stumble upon a pot 'o gold.

And the necklace? Two years ago, my friend was giving a bunch of jewelry away and let me take what I wanted. I saw this funky green gem and gave it a home. This is the first time I've worn it and it's awesome. Must incorporate it into more outfits. I've also seen necklaces just like it for a lot more than free.

After a fun day out and about, Matt and I made our own delicious Shamrock Shakes!! Enjoying my Irish heritage is fun.... just don't ask me to Riverdance.
